Sunraysia Medical Imaging implements mi-Soft RIS/Voyager PACS Integration

Sunraysia Medical Imaging, based in the northwestern Victoria regional centre of Mildura, recently linked two of its longstanding IT applications, mi-Soft RIS and Voyager PACS.

An automated flow of Patient Information from Reception to the various modalites via the mi-Soft interface and the Voyager Modality Worklist engine provided immediate benefits to the Technicians.

Softcopy Reporting utilising the integrated features of the mi-Soft Radiologist's Workstation (MRW) and the Voyager Image Viewer provides an easy and efficient workflow for the Reporting Radiologist. Dictation, Report editing and Report Approval are all incorporated in the MRW module.

Report approval embeds the mi-Soft Patient Report in the Voyager Image Study and allows the Report and Images to be burnt together to a CD for distribution to Referrers.

mi-Soft/Voyager integration is available at three Reporting locations within the two branches and on the Radiologist's Laptops providing the Reporting Doctors with a flexible work environment and the ability to easily handle out of hours requirements.

Bankstown Diagnostic Imaging links Riverwood to mi-Soft RIS and implements medinexus

Dr Mark Brennan recently celebrated the tenth anniversary of operating his Bankstown Diagnostic Imaging Practice.The mi-Soft RIS has been installed since the Practice first opened and is now being expanded to link Mark's Riverwood Branch to the Bankstown database over a WAN.

This is part of an overall technology upgrade for the organisation incorporating introduction of new CR machines and a general move towards complete softcopy reporting.

The mi-Soft Radiologist's Workstation (MRW) is being utilised for dictation and approval of Patient Reports.

mi-Soft is also providing integration to the Healthlink/medinexus system for electronic distribution of Patient Reports and Images directly to the Referrers desktop.
